Fall Carnival

Good Morning LMES Families!

 

We are hard at work organizing the 2023 LMES Fall Carnival! 


You should soon receive the Fall Carnival Packet (or it is attached here), it will be sent home with your student this week. All of the information you might need should be included in that packet, but we will overview it below. 


This year we have added a Petting Zoo, Mini-Pig Races, as well as Guessing Jars, Temporary Tatoos, and Nailing Painting, along with the more than 20 free outdoor games for your student to enjoy. 


We hope you will join us on Friday, September 29th from 6pm-8pm.  


Just a few Fall Carnival Notes:


  • Tickets: You can Pre-Order tickets using the form in the packet please make sure those are submitted on or before Monday, September 25th. We will accept cash or check (made out to LME PTC). We will be filling those orders and sending them back home with your students. $1 each ticket, or 25 tickets for $20
    • Tickets can be used for Popcorn, Bounce Houses, Temporary Tattoos, Guessing Jars, Nail Painting, Pick-a-Lollipop & Win, Mini-Pig Races, and infamous Raffle Baskets that are stuffed with donations from families.
    • If you do not pre-order you can purchase tickets at the event, just realize there may be a line. 

  • Raffle Baskets: We need your help with the raffle basket donation items. Each teacher has been assigned different themes. Items donated don’t have to be big or expensive, just creative and fun (use your imagination). The raffle baskets are displayed on the stage at the Fall Carnival and students/teachers/parents can place as many tickets as they wish into a drawing to win the coordinating basket. It is an exciting time when the tickets are drawn. 
    • If using your tickets for raffle baskets, you MUST write your name and contact number on the back of the tickets. We encourage you to do this before you get to the carnival. 

  • Money: We are only accepting cash/check as forms of payments for food and drinks so please come prepared
    • Food - $10 Pizza, $2 Slice of Pizza, $1 Soda/Water, $2-$10 Bake Sale Items
    • LMES T-shirts - We will have LMES Youth T-shirts Available Again for $20

  • PLEASE Volunteer: The biggest need for the Carnival to be successful is volunteer participation, if you are willing and able to volunteer for an hour while you are there it would be greatly appreciated. Most of the help from parents will be indoors monitoring the carnival activities in the cafeteria area. It is a great way to meet new parents all while helping the school. 
    • If you have middle school or high school students that want to earn service hours (or to volunteer at their old stomping ground), we encourage you to sign them up, as well (the more we know the better we can organize). All we ask is that you let us know they are students in the sign up because only adults can handle money at the event.

  • Bake Sale and Soda Donations: We are also looking for individuals who would love to contribute toward the Homemade Bake Sale and Drink Donations (soda and water). See the sign-up sheet below, we depend on these donations to reduce the cost of the event and give another opportunity for families to help out. All donations need to be received by the morning on Friday, September 29th
