For the first time, several SACS elementary schools including Whispering meadows, Aboite Elementary and Lafayette Meadows joined forces with WOWO for their annual fundraising campaign Penny Pitch.  For two weeks students were encouraged to bring in their pennies and change to benefit this year’s Penny Pitch recipient  - the Shepherd's house.

During morning announcements at LMES, Principal Jenny Fedele proudly revealed her school’s fundraising total as well as the grade level who collected the most donations in the district.
